I found this paragraph by Newsweek photographer interesting (see below) he was referring to his Olympics coverage but I think it is true of any event you might be covering.
We don’t know who will win/lose or become the news, where that will happen, when that will happen, or from where we can get the best picture from, or with what lens and exposure (nor when we can put our guard down or take a meal/bathroom break) .... you never know this until the event happens—live—and in photography there are no second chances; you are either the “hero or the zero” with little in between. This is why photographers, who by nature are used to capturing what is a sometimes chaotic series of events, like to have at least the basics figured out before they get to the venue, so that they only have to worry about making “the” picture.

New Business!!
Well after working with Jody Gomez from www.jodygomez.com photography we have decided that it was time to combine forces. So we have now made it offical!! we have launched our new site www.alltherighshots.com We launched it a the Murrieta Pop Warner kick off event. We are again the official photographers for MVPW and people were very excited to see the quality of our photos. We have a lot of projects in the works including weddings, product shots, family portraits in addition to all of the sports that we cover.

Ok it has been a long time since I posted any thing and I am going to try to get this updated at least a couple times a week from now on.

Well in 2008 I have decided to "try" to get 1 new photo every day. Some will be snapshots others will be more detailed or from shoots that I am doing. Benefit for Issac....
I have been attending some model shoots recently and it is kind of a zoo. They arrange an event and there usually about 30+ photographers and about 10-20 models. The last event I attend was benefit for one of the makeup artist who's 3 year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia. Here is one of my shots from the shoot.
