I found Gary Vaynerchuk online about a month ago and he is a very interesting guy. First of all he owns a huge $50 million dollar wine shop in New Jersey. This is pretty impressive since hw took it from $5 million to $50!! He also is huge into web 2.0 and social media. The clip that I include really make sense ...what do you think???

I found this paragraph by Newsweek photographer interesting (see below) he was referring to his Olympics coverage but I think it is true of any event you might be covering.

We don’t know who will win/lose or become the news, where that will happen, when that will happen, or from where we can get the best picture from, or with what lens and exposure (nor when we can put our guard down or take a meal/bathroom break) .... you never know this until the event happens—live—and in photography there are no second chances; you are either the “hero or the zero” with little in between. This is why photographers, who by nature are used to capturing what is a sometimes chaotic series of events, like to have at least the basics figured out before they get to the venue, so that they only have to worry about making “the” picture.

New Business!!

Well after working with Jody Gomez from www.jodygomez.com photography we have decided that it was time to combine forces. So we have now made it offical!! we have launched our new site www.alltherighshots.com We launched it a the Murrieta Pop Warner kick off event. We are again the official photographers for MVPW and people were very excited to see the quality of our photos. We have a lot of projects in the works including weddings, product shots, family portraits in addition to all of the sports that we cover.

I have been attending some model shoots recently and it is kind of a zoo. They arrange an event and there usually about 30+ photographers and about 10-20 models. The last event I attend was benefit for one of the makeup artist who's 3 year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia. Here is one of my shots from the shoot.

Sometimes you envision a shot and sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't. Well this summer I was covering a Little League tournament and I had seen a similar shot so I thought I would try it. I set up behind the backstop and shot thru the fence. Well using the Canon Mark II shooting 8frames per second I focused halfway between the pitcher and home plate. Well it only took one burst and I got it!!! What do you think?

I had a great time with shooting this senior portrait. It took a while for both if us to get in sync and the last shots were awesome!! We first tried the caboose at the boys/girls club then we capped it off at the Old Town Theater. The theater is very cool it has so many textures...brick, metal, wood, painted walls......

Not a "new" shot but is was from August.... This is a shot of the "Cannery" in New Port Beach we were at the Blue Water Grill and I thought I would take a couple shots in the harbor. This one turned out the best and I did some editing with Photoshop to "posterize" it.

For the last year I have been working with McCool Photography their specialty is Equestrian events. This past weekend I spent the weekend covering the Cross Country event at Southern California Equestrian Center formally know as Galway Downs. This is a very interesting and boring event to cover....unfortunately I am assigned a obstacle to photograph. While I am able to get some great shots I am limited in my creativity. Here is one of the younger competitors jumping one of the fences mid way thru the event.

CORR Chula Vista

Championship Off Road Racing otherwise known as CORR www.corracing.com/returned to Chula Vista in August for an action packed weekend. Here are some photos from the weekend.

Carl Renezeder is one of the top drivers in CORR competing in both Pro2 and Pro4 trucks.

The Trophy Kart class is a kids racing class. These Trophy Karts are high-performance off-road go-carts. Featuring a 265cc Subaru engine, 15inches of front wheel travel and 18inches of rear wheel travel and with a top speed of 50miles per hour these little 1/2 scale Trophy Trucks rival even their full size counterparts. While fun for both kids and adults alike the Trophy Kart race put on by CORR was for children 16 years of age and younger.

Well I have been considering do a blog for quite a while now and seeing as I have a little time on my hands this morning I thought I would get it started. Why do I have time on my hands you ask... Well I am doing my civic duties on jury duty. Actually I am sitting in the jury waiting room and they are kind enough to offer free wireless service.

So my goal it two fold with this blog is to share some of my photos and my vision of photography.
